My guns are devices for sending money downrange...

I've decided to stop worrying so much about the initial cost of the guns I buy, because I've realized that even with reloading my own ammo, it'll only be a few years before I've shot much more money through the gun than I initially spent on the gun. :D

I've already spent more than the cost of my my pistol in ammo, possibly even double.

Only a matter of time before the same can be said for my AR...

I was thinking the same thing this evening when I pocked up a few rounds for $109. Then I stopped and filled up my truck for $90. So in the big picture what's $500 for a new gun

Guns are devices for sending money downrange. But it’s worth every penny. The time I spend at the range, nothing else in the world matters. Troubles at work, home, school, what ever, none of it matters. Putting a hole in the X-ring with my M1911, or half MOA groups with my rifle is therapy.

This is why it doesn't make sense why guys get so paronoid, and make endless threads, about if their $500 gun will last THOUSANDS of dollars worth of ammo usage.

Don't they call that enlightenment?

Been there. It hurt's to much to talk about it.:(
