Hey all,

I'd shot lots of rifles and shotguns before, but never a pistol before. Well the college I'm going to has a 25 yard indoor range and I went to one of the pistol club shoots last week. I'm hooked! Just .22 for now. I have to qualify with that (shoot so many inside the black circle at 50 ft. one handed) before I can shoot anything bigger. Here's my question. Any good websites on shooting techniques? I did pretty good (I thought) for never having shot a handgun before, but then it was only a .22. Also, I didn't even try one handed. Just trying to improve. And I'm sure I'll get plenty of help from the other guys in the pistol club, but I don't wanna act too stupid around them :-)

Stick with it, Andy, and I'm sure your fellow pistoleros will be willing to help. Let us know when you graduate to the big bores, we'll throw you a virtual party on TFL!

You Da Man! :)

Don`t worry too much about the bigger calibers, if you master the fundamentals and basics with the .22, the rest will follow when you transition in caliber.

Keep up the good work!

SHOOT,COMMUNICATE AND MOVE OUT !

Thanks guys--I knew I could get some good info here...I also found out that they have a "practical pistol" club too. That one does sillouette shooting and moving targets, stuff like that. But I think I'll stick with paper for now :-) Get the basics down and then move on. I missed the saturday shoot because I slept in :-( I almost think the extra sleep was worth it though :-) I'll probably go again tomorrow night if I get all my stuff done.

Dave-Yeah if you're familiar with the campus its in the basement of the SDC.
