My first revolver

Yesterday I bought my first revolver, a used Ruger Super Six. It came with 2 cylinders, one for 22 LR & one for 22 Mag. The Mag cyl. was never used. Took it to the range today & had a blast. Only fired 22 LR. Another shooter had the same gun only his was S/S. He said there was hardly any difference when he shot the 22 Mag. I'm wondering if it's worth buying any 22 Mag ammo.

I have chronographed .22 Mag ammo in my Ruger convertable. The difference between .22 LR Highspeed and .22 WMR is not much. The powder used in .22 WMR ammo is made to build pressure in a rifle barrel. I don' belive the cost of .22 WMR is worth it.

I thought there was handgun ammo in 22 WMR. I would guess it would have a shorter faster burn for a short barrel.

Thanks.

Yeah .I might as well try one box of mags. just for ***** & giggles. After all, either way, I'm just making tiny holes in paper.
