I went and picked up my Glock 19 tonight. I have wanted it for a little while now, but due to lack of funding (recent collge graduate), I have had to wait. What a perfect day to pick it up though! I'm really happy tonight boys.....it's ashame this isn't a bar, because I'd be buying ;) I just wanted to share my joy. Take care everybody.

Enjoy your new purchase.

Good thing this isn't a bar, I don't drink cheap. Save your money for practice ammo.

Great pick. The Glock 19 is my carry weapon. Go take a gun training class and if your state allow conceal carry get it ASAP.

If you are not sure if your state allow conceal carry, go to this site to find out http://www.packing.org/

Many consider the Glock 19 to be the best Glock yet made, and the perfect 9mm carry gun. A G19 was my first Glock, and I'm sure you'll enjoy yours just as much as I did mine. It's light, accurate, incredibly tough, and easy to carry.

Now you need to come over to glocktalk.com, where the Church of Glock congregates. :)

Congrats on a nice piece!

Time to start lusting after that next pistol. Everytime I get one, I tell my wife "this is it". It never is and by now I think she knows it. I still have the first pistol and rifle I bought.

Congrat's on a fine choice

My friend, and TFL'er Amelia swear's by her G-19.
I must admit, it's a winner!!!:D But, with that said, I will still rely on my Sig-P220A.:)

Best Wishes and Stay Safe!!!

Cool! My Glock 19C is my first and only Glock at this time. It's a great gun as it compares very nicely to some of my other handguns.

hey! my first firearm was a glock 19c as well!
had houge grips and trijicon night sights.
dont have it any more. but is a great basic weapon.
youll love it.
k.s.

Congrats,

My very first handgun was a Glock 19, purchased in 1991. Did eventually get rid of it, but am reconsidering another purchase of a new G19. Have a blast and be safe.

You definately started out right. :) Now you need a 1911, a 357 Magnum wheelgun, and a Ruger 22/45.

Oops...I forgot to mention. If you don't have at least one preban high cap magazine for that pistol, it is worth whatever you have to pay for it. If you can afford it, I would recommend 3 - 4, if not more.

Good luck with it, buy lots of the most important accessory, practice ammo my g26 loves S&B and you can get a good price from ammoman.com delivered to your doorstep.

Get your CCW since it is easy in PA.

Did you go to school in Allentown?, I spent four years there at Muhlenberg 1979-1983.

Thanks for all the replies....I'm still really excited. I was itching to get out of work today just so I could come home and dry fire it. I'm already considering my next purchase though. Berretta has a deal on 92/96 pistols......you get a free quick access safe! I might just have to pick one up :) I really want a 1911 though.....probably a Kimber. Oh well, we only live once right? I guess I should be happy. So maybe I'll try to save up some money for both. Damn these pistols are addictive :)

Master Blaster: I went to school in Bethlehem (Lehigh University). I'm working up in Allentown right now, and I'll be moving into the area the end of August. Right after I move I'm going to get my CCW.
