He's not much, but they all taste good, which is all that matters.

Congrats on your first deer. Make sure you keep that rack because there still isn't any thing like your first deer.

I noticed you had a K-31 in the picture and I thought "Cool." Then I saw the scope and I was like "Noooooooooooooooo." Then I saw that you didn't have to drill holes in and now I'm back to "Cool."

Those K-31s are great shooting rifles. My hunting partner's father has a K-31 and scoped it too but had holes drilled in it. What a shame.

Congratulations on your first deer and may there be many more ..........That brown Carhart and tan pants would make me a little uneasy in the woods around here.

I was in Sterling City, TX.

Unfortunately, I didn't keep the rack :-(. Didn't really think about it. I wasn't hunting for sport, just food. He was just a spike, it didn't even cross my mind.

congrats on your 1st deer

That's a very nice deer. Hopefully you kept pics since you didn't save the rack. My first was a doe so I had the hide tanned..... Guess it doesn't matter because you'll always remember the 1st.

Great job!!!!

He was just a spike

I kept mine even though it was a button buck. Either sex bow season and I thought I shot a doe until I found it. LOL.

But the memories are the most important. And despite no big-ol wall-hangers, I don't consider any of them "just" anything.

I would definitely keep a button... Would be awesome to have on the wall!

You will NEVER forget your first kiss, your first car, your first speeding ticket or your first deer. I envy you the eating part. Good job.
