I started with black powder, a Colt walker replica and a 1851 navy replica. after two years I got tired of the clean up and went to my Local LGS (The Stockade) and bought a used Taurus model 66. 357 magnum revolver. waited the 15 days (California) and picked it up with 100 rounds of ammo. went straight to the range and fired all 100. Next day My shoulder and wrist hurt like crazy LOL

Congratulations Gary. I've always thought those older Taurus revolvers, identified by the wood grips, were darn good guns. I've owned several over the years.

At my LGS the other day they had a 66 like yours, but with a 4" barrel. Some wear externally, but tight mechanically. I was tempted, but I need another 4" 357 like....well...not very bad. :)

This was back in the 80's Later I had the Barrel replaced with a 3inch and modified to DA only. around 2009-2010 I sold it to help pay for a S&W Model 29
