My CZ-70...

Got my CZ-70 at the gunshow at Hugo's in Bealton, Virginia, today.

Haven't fired it yet, but that's coming.

Some thoughts.

Came from Century Arms with a cleaning brush, 2 magazines, and one of their ridiculous red plastic trigger locks.

Finish is what you would expect, rather crude and unpolished. What I didn't expect was a fine patina of rust covering the matte finished areas of the slide. The slide sides are polished blue, they were fine. The top and upper sides of the slide, which are finished in a matte blue, wasn't. I'm going to have to do some rust killing.

The gun fits the hand rather nicely for something of this nature. It's a bit thin for my hand, but a set of aftermarket grips may well take care of that.

Double action trigger pull....

Uhm... Anyone got an 800-pound gorilla I can borrow?

Stiff and hard isn't the word. Wow. Must go well over 20 pounds. After I get the book I'll see about taking it apart and polishing and lubricating to see if I can get it a little more workable.

Single action is not terrible. I've used American-made autos with much worse single action triggers. Probably about 6-8 pounds with some creep.

Safety/decocker. Very stiff. Decocking is VERY difficult.

Sights. Well... Why did they even bother? Tiny front half-moon with an even tinier rear notch. I'll be working on it with a file, I suspect.

All told, $130 from the dealer with shipping and transfer fee.

Not too terrible for a little Walther PP clone in .32 that I'm looking to have fun with, and not much else.

Thanks for the post. I have been considering one of those for grins and giggles. I may still do so
IF I can see what I am buying first.

My opinion on these and the other "commy" guns has been that they are simply something to play with to make better or to disassemble to understand another firearm design.

I hope you enjoy it! Please be sure to post of range results and your trials and tribulations regarding disassembly.

I paid $95.00 for my CZ-70 with one magazine. The first ones only came with one mag. I shot mine yesterday for the first time and it shot a little low and to the left. Ihave since bought 3 more spare magazines for mine. It is one heck of a fine buy in a handgun.

I had no idea that it was a decocker. I had to run and check and sure enough it was. I bought mine from aimsurples a couple months ago and couldn't be more happy. I have not had a chance to shoot it yet. By looking at it, it's a verry well made little gun. It comes apart as little weird. You have to pull the slide back then up to get it off. I don't know why the d/a trigger pull is so heavy, mine is about 15 or 16 pounds. The s/a pull is good though. All in all the best money I ever spent.:)
