My Bisley Blackhawk won't stay cocked...

Just got a nice used Ruger Blackhawk Bisley in .357, but noticed soon after I got it home that after cocking it, if I "slap"the hammer back, the hammer falls on its own. By slap, I mean that if I apply any quick rearward pressure to the hammer after it is cocked, the hammer falls. If I cock it fast, the hammer also falls. All this has occurred during dry fire, and I have yet to load it or shoot it. Can I try anything to resolve this? I'm planning to call Ruger tomorrow and see about sending it to them. Any other ideas?

BTW, is it Bizz-lee, Byze-lee, Biss-lee, or Bye-lee?

Should be a great gun once I get this resolved... Thanks in advance.

My first bet would bet that a home "gunsmith" (butcher, actually), decided to do his own action job and thoroughly mucked up the works.

Your gun is unsafe to use as it could fire inadvertently, and should be taken to a gunsmith immediately.

I'll second what Mike said. The LAST thing you want is the hammer to fall on it's own.
And I believe Biss-lee is closest.
FWIW, I like mine better than the regular Blackhawk grip, it doesn't slide around as much.
