My 45-70 BPCR Recipe

Just thought that I'd throw this out there for ya'll. It was an excellent load for my Sharps.

535grn hard cast Postell from Buffalo Arms with SPG lube
Win. brass; holds a little more powder
FGM large rifle primers
65grns Goex Cartridge, slightly compressed and topped with veggie wad

Sadly, I no longer have this rifle. But boy, could it shoot!
 
I use a similar load, except with a 215 primer and Swiss 1 1/2F, pre-compressing before seating the bullet. This will ALWAYS put 'em under 10" at 500 yards on a cool calm day, and ALMOST ALWAYS under 7". My best group is 3 shots measuring 3 3/8"/500 yards. Sights are from Lee Shaver.
