Low power

I don't know when that .32 might have been made, probably prewar, one, that is. Probably sold for a dollar back then. Have you actually fired that thing? The little 22 is probably a better gun made with modern materials and less prone to breakage. Most of those 32's I have seen have been broken. I would keep it as a collector or occasional fun shooter but would not risk my life with it. Frame is probably cast iron. Soft steel elsewhere. They are interesting but for a few dollars more you can get a modern gun of some sort that is much better. But it is your taste that dictates what you carry. THese don't measure up to a Colt or Smith 32 made in the same era at all. They did not call them suicide specials for nothing. Probably suicide to use one against an armed opponent. And actual suicide with the thing is probably not a sure bet.

Hi Tom2, bought it for $25.00 and it shoots .32 silver tips.allway fires but past 20 feet takes some aiming.I like the very small size in a DBL action.... but I carry (every day) a S&W airweight 2" snub as my main gun. I would like a modern .32 in this size as the snubby is lightweight but bulky.

Don't think those cheapies had any safety internals so if it falls on a cement floor on the hammer and is aiming up at yo hayd you may be sorry you carried it.

Be safe carry like a Colt SAA empty round under hammer. Ist pull will rotate cylinder anyway!

The .32 looks like an Harrington and Richardson...is it? If you like that design and caliber, check out the on-line auction sites for NEF handguns.

New England Firearms bought out H&R and made a few of their handguns before they called it quits and settled on the rifles and single shot shotguns they're well known for.

I have one of the NEF snubbys and it's chambered in .32 H&R Mag. It's a great shooter, easily concealable, well made and inexpensive. The trigger is awful DA but manageable. Very accurate too but I mainly only shoot snubbys, so I have a bunch of practice.

Oh yeah, the NEF has the transfer bar safety thing too. You can pick one up for around 100 bucks.

skinnygun,

Hi Tom2, bought it for $25.00 and it shoots .32 silver tips.

If you are saying that you are shooting .32ACP STHP's in an old revolver designed to shoot .32 S&W, then I feel I should probably counsel you to discontinue that practice, as it isn't even remotely safe.

There might be a slight ringing in your ears for awhile, but fortunately you won't be anywhere near them.
