My 1st DAO pistol...

Found a LNIB USP varient 7...double action only no safety lever, for a GOOD price. So good in fact, that I bought it. Anyway, on my drive home I got to thinking about the DAO trigger.
Does anyone have any experience w/ HK's DAO that they would like to share? I have a few USPs already, so I'm familiar w/ their traditional DA/SA triggers, I'm just curious about what I have to look forward to or if I should start contemplating a conversion to V1.

I'm right handed, so V2 isn't too practical for me. I do have an ambi safety on my Expert which is pretty nice. Still haven't converted my others tho.
I got such a good price on this gun that I may not worry too much about a conversion to v1...
Decisions, decisions...

Is it a defense or sporting gun?

If defense, don't convert.

If sporting, convert.

I have the variant 7. Could have gotten a var1 much easier, but I did not want to possibly get killed fiddling with a manual safety while panicked.

I've got a USP 40c Variant 1. I don't think I would care for that DA as a DAO package. What about the L.E.M.? Supposedly this DAO module much improves the standard factory DA trigger, and, I believe, is now available to us "civilians". If someone's already alluded to it, my apologies.

Skunkabilly - I was allowed to dry fire the pistol a couple of times. The trigger was smooth. Maybe a little on the long side, but acceptable. I hope I don't upset anyone w/ this comparison, but it felt like a stock Ruger DA revolver trigger.
