Dear Friends,

This happens to be my 100th post on TFL. I have reserved this moment for an issue/matter that substantially contributes to the collective learning and experience of my fellow TFLers. Thanks for providing me the forum to "do my part".

Best regards,
Oscar

Beer Warning!!!

Yesterday scientists for the National Institute of Health suggested that, considering the results of a recent analysis that revealed the presence of female hormones in beer, men should take a close look at their beer consumption. The theory is that drinking beer turns men into women. To test the theory, 100 men were fed 6 pints of beer each within a 1 hour period. It was then observed that 100% of the men gained weight, talked excessively without making sense, became overly emotional, couldn't drive, failed to think rationally, argued over nothing, and refused to apologize when wrong. No further testing is planned.

Oscar, on that beer warning...yo inna heap o trouble, boy. Wait until the ladies get to reading that post. :D

If the female hormones had actually turned the men into women the scientist would have seen their test subjects doing these things:
1. Immediately began to pickup after themselves.
2. Do the laundry before it smelled like week-old fish.
3. Stopped saying, "Pull my finger".
4. Found watching hours of sports a boring thing to do with one's entire free time
5. Purchase more then beer and pretzels at the grocery store.
6. Stop the children before they made mudpies in the kitchen.
:D

Oscar, I hope you've been listening to these women as well as just posting. Welcome, but I don't know you, if you know what I mean.

Welcome to the community. You're on your own now.

Blueyedog, I like #3! As a matter of fact, I had to send this into Ruminations a couple of weeks ago:
"I think a really funny joke for a wife to play on her husband would be this: when she's in labor, right before the last push, say, 'Pull my finger!' Then the baby would pop out. That would get him back for 1,000 of his 'pull my finger's'!" :D :D :D (sorry for the visual, there, guys...well, not really :D)

ps...ledbetter, I always knew you were a wise man! ;)

Oscar,
Be careful.
I'm using my 600th post to let know that around here, you can run but you can't hide.
The ladies almost always have the last say and can make a feller's life down right miserable.
Kinda like real life... ;)

Ladies, Ladies, Ladies. . .

My post was merely an experiment to ascertain just how belligerent a response I could evoke with something completely inane. As the incurable "stirer of the hornet's nest" (from my saintly wife), I was hoping for threats of dismemberment, etc. Needless to say, your responses (dismissive glares at most) were greatly disappointing to me.

At the same time, ladies, I am comforted. My experiment affirms that females (who share men's precious RKBA) are indeed emotionally stable enough to possess firearms. I am certain that you are as disturbed as I am at James', Ledbetter's and Foxfire's responses that anticipated a much more volatile, irrational response.

My hat is off!

Keep trying, Oscar. ;)

Back-pedaller? TRAITOR? OUCH! I only intended to add a little chauvinistic condescension to the mix.
