What is the general consensus on how much overbore one should have? I have heard anywhere from .010 to .018 larger than your caliber,ie: .318 to 333 for a standard 30 cal. Does anyone have much experience w/ this?
TIA

0.020" over the bullet diameter should be right.
0.040" is not good for MB effectiviness, but good for safety.
You can choose.

I generally do my .020". I read an interesting article years ago about muzzle brake designs, and their effectiveness. According to the info, when you go over .040 you start loosing the effectiveness of the brake dramatically.
