multiple handgun purchases in Indiana

I have been looking into buying a few new handguns (357 mag snub revolver, 45acp pistol, and a large caliber hunting/bear defense revolver), and I came across one of each that suits my needs online. My plan is to have them shipped to my local gun shop. I live in Indiana, and I was wondering if there would be any reprocussions if I would order them all at the same time? I have purchased two handguns about 3 days apart before, and the store had to fill out a multiple handgun purchase form, and I had no issues at all. If I were to order3 at the same time, would that cause me to be flagged by the fbi or anything? I want to take advantage of the good online prices that I found, but I don't want to be put on a watchlist or something because of it. Thanks in advance.

If the Feds were informed about a multiple purchase you already made, what new list do you think you'll get put on now? I reckon any gun owner who's bought from a FFL in the past several years is on more "lists" than they could imagine.

You've already bought multiple guns. If you aren't doing any thing illegal, I don't believe you have any thing to be concerned about. It is after all legal to buy multiple guns.

in az a different form is required if buying 2 more at the same time.

i personally don't think firearm purchases are tracked that close.

nics check is done by the the fbi and the ffl keeps the paperwork so who's doing alll the supposed tracking of firearm sales?

the mfg and s/n aren't included with the nics check, only a check on the purchaser.

Multiple Handgun Purchase

The Multiple Handgun Purchase form has 3 copies one is mailed/faxed to BATF in Va. second is mailed to local authorities, third is kept on file at the FFL purchased from and BATF does ask to see those records when they do inspections at the FFL holder.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I guess I will just go ahead with it then. I realize that I truly have nothing to worry about even if it would put me on a list, but I just like to be precautious and make sure that nothing bad could happen from it. Thanks again.

bearone2,

I found them all online and at a good price, and I am wanting to get them while they are still in stock, and to avoid paying multiple shipping fees.

I'm sure you'll be put on a list >

> partially because of your proximity to Chicago. We've had problems with gangsters going to IN and KY to buy guns to bring back into the city.

I think the shop may be able to deny you. You should ask them.
