Anyone tried these, good bad or mediocre?

Looking at the Eradicator for my Stevens 200 project rifle in 243, which came in BTW so I will be starting a project rifle thread with pics and range reports as soon as I pick it up and a temp scope mounted. Project goal is a long range tactical build, will be replacing the barrel trigger, and stock over the next month or three

Other scopes I am considering would be Konus - I have their spotting scope and love it. Millet - no experience. Nikon - no experience

I want to get by spending less than 500 and the closer to 200 the better. Need a minimum 16 to 18 power for 600 and 800 yard shooting. Looking for decent glass, repeatability, good torrent clicks, and could give a rats rear about name brag factor. Needs fair durability because the ride to the range is a rough one. So if you have any other ideas I am open to suggestions

I have the Mueller Eradicator on my 204 Ruger. It's a great scope, especially for ~$200.

I'm not a "clicker", mainly using slight holdover (not that you need much with a 204) so I can't tell you anything about repeatability.

Guessing high rings Peet ? figured it out last night and I think it need a little over a half inch clearance from bottom of tube. Looking at the Talley 1 piece rings and medium might work but it would be real close depending on barrel taper. Barrel will be sporter taper initially then re barreled with a light varmint taper.

I have 3 Mullers all good scopes more clarity edge to edge then my Nikon Monarch.

I prefer Burris Signature zee rings with inserts have all high rings however the Burris high set appears to be slightly less high then other brands. High rings "for me" give me better stock/cheek weld I try to have all rifles set the same position.

I like Warnes too, have them on 2 of my rifles. I am leaning to the Talley's partially because they are 1 piece mount and ring so 1 less set of screws to work loose.

Anyone know what the max internal adjustment is for that scope. Can't find that data on the Mueller site or Midways
