Muder Or Protection?

There has been a battle going on for years between gun rights and gun control. For many years the gun control advocates had no aces. Now the mastermind for gun control has a most dangerous weapon against having guns particularly pistols. This is their weapon. Several years ago laws were passed in many states that we must have licenses for consealed pistols knowing that some people would leave there pistoles at their homes. Because of parents leaving their pistols at their houses in obedience to the law kids got to the guns wounding themselves and others, sometimes mortally. Because of this many family and friends of the ones that got hurt started fighting against gun rights. Thus fufiling the plans of the lawmakers. Yet this is but the first of their plans. By geting support from people that had family members or friends shot they will try to get rid of all guns of any type. After this thay will now have the power becauce the citizens are disarmed to take among others our rights of religion, the press, and speech. Note pistoles were made to be carried. Why buy one if you are going to leave it at your house. A shotgun would be a lot more efficient for home protection.

Welcome to The Firing Line, Tim.

I'm not sure I understand your posting, exactly.

Are you saying that lawmakers in the 31 states that have Shall-Issue type Concealed Carry laws planned for most people to not get a CCW permit, and then leave their loaded, unlocked gun sitting in plain view at home when they went out? Are you saying that the lawmakers plan was for children to find these guns and then shoot themselves and others, thereby changing people's minds about gun control? After having the people demand guns be banned, are these same lawmakers then planning to take away our rights to freedom of religion, speech and the press?

This doesn't make any sense to me. Please explain your premise further.

TheBluesMan,

Yes, I am saying that some lawmakers knew that many people couldn’t or wouldn’t get licenses. And since most people leave their guns at the head of their bed or in their drawers for easy access, and because they never left there guns at home for long times they did not think that there children would get the pistols and harm them selves. But the lawmakers knew that that would happen. After there have been many deaths more laws came in trying to stop all the deaths. Because of this they gained the support of the parents and friends of the victims. And now through hate “crime” legislation they are taking away the freedom of speech and religion. Yes they knew that children would kill them selves and others.

Tim...
I guess I still don't understand...based on your scenario, CCW is a moot point....in other words, has no effect one way or the other. In states with discretionary or no issue CCW, there are folks who keep their guns laying around at home.
How is state CCW policy connected to lax behavior?
