Mr. Salinger comments on the presidential election

"I don't want any more Bush presidents. If Bush wins, I'm going to leave the country and spend the rest of my life in France."--longtime ABC correspondent Pierre Salinger in the Georgetowner newspaper.

When a Kennedy clanner and "correspondent" like Mr. Salinger says such a thing, we should all be concerned. After all, he didn't say "I promise" and he didn't put it in writing.

Anyway, good bye and good riddance, Mr. Salinger! Don't let any Kennedy coattails get caught in the door of the Concorde on your final flight to Paree! :p

What amazes me is that ABC can keep a straight face when it calls Salinger a "correspondent." This ought to cause outrage, but few people seem to care. Considering his gross bias, a more accurate term would be "propagandist." But I shouldn't be surprised. Most "correspondents" in the elite media are just as biased, only less obviously so.

At any rate, yes, good riddance!

Just a coincidence?

Hmmmmm ... considering Alec Baldwin's comments to the same end, I wonder if Pierre et Alec have been planning on shacking up? ;)

And, I forget the author's name, but there were some clever comments in the Boston Herald a while ago. He noted that Alec Baldwin's house must have been pretty chaotic on election eve ... 'pack the car, unpack the car, pack the car, unpack the car ...' ;) Sounds like Pierre was going through the same trauma. ;)

Don't ya just love liberals. They're so silly.

Salinger was, is and always will be a partisan "journalist."

As for Alec Baldwin, my absolute favorite bit of acting on his part was in "In the Line of Fire," when he drooped over the edge of a building after being shot by John Malkovich. Very, very convincing piece of work. Too bad life doesn't always imitate art.

If everyone who promised to leave if GWB is elected actually does, the quality of people in the US will improve noticeably.

Maybe build a large gas-propelled boat to help those wishing to leave. It will be made from Balsa wood and Elmers glue, and shall be called the BalsaTanic.

Salinger and that other chickenf$&@# Baldwin can go piss up a rope as far as I'm concerned... boohoohoo, their boy couldn't win outright and the attempted coup doesn't seem to be working either. Poor spoiled bastards.

Now if we could just get a couple hundred other a-hole celebrities to leave as well, things will really start looking up.

To Alec, Kim, Rob Reiner, and Salinger:

Don't let the door knob hit you where the good Lord split you!

Ya'll DON'T come back now, ya hear?

If that fat, slimey slob weren't a Mega Millionaire Marxist, I'd volunteer to buy him a one way ticket... on a slow boat to Communist China, where he and the rest of those Marxist idiots belong.

Oh great DC, now you've opened up the flood-gates by saying "ass". Are you telling me that I won't have to see "a$$", "a**" or "arse" any more? ;)

There are some of us who will continue to use A$$ or A**. Cuz it looks purty. :)

On a more serious note (sort of) Wouldn't it be just lovely if all the liberals left the country if Bush wins? I personally can't think of a nicer Christmas present.

That's what made this election critical ...

Sure, the Supreme Court appointments were an issue. But golly ... being able to get rid of the Clinton administration and ridding ourselves of human trash like Alec Baldwin? Those are high stakes indeed. ;)
