mp5kA4 info

If it's an HK, then it's German made. To tell if it's HK, look for markings on the reciever. It should say something on there. I don't think there are many HK copies made, so the one you're looking at is probably an HK.

Concur. Look at the markings. Guns made in Germany are subject to strict German proofing standards. Mind you, HK authorized many countries to manufacture the MP5 and even sold them the dies. Most notable is Pakistan or Greece (which Springfield Armory, Inc. used as a source for their version of the HK-91).

BTW Ray, did you ever get that buffer?

mp5ka4

no, i had no luck, i sent a fax fax message to HK explaining the facts, unfortunately they didnt respond, by the way, my friends MP5Ka4's buffer is very good compared to my mp5k whicj is 20 yrs old now....i manage to replace it with a rubber cut-out to prevent battering of the end cap.have heard cases like mine? TNX

Not sure what model you refer to as a MP5KA4 but if it was made by Heckler & Koch:

'HK' will be stamped into the top of the receiver between the scope mount points,

'MP5K' will be stamped into the top of the receiver between the rear scope mount and the rear sight,

The symbol of an eagle with the letter 'N' below it will follow 'MP5K',

"Made in W Germany" or "Made in Germany" will be stamped into the right hand side of the magazine well, along with the name of the import site.

Mexico and Turkey also produced MP5 lookalike copies.

================================================
It doesnt have the eagle with the letter N below it &
it doesnt have the Mede in Germany markings.
It has an "IS" engraved letters at the bolt carrier.

TNX a lot!
