Moving to Colorado

You fellow gun-nuts make some room for me. I'll want to do some shooting as soon as the ski slopes close for the summer, for sure, but sooner if I can find a warm range.
Looks like I'll be living in the Longmont area. Any ranges close by? Gun stores? Good stores to buy reloading equipment?
I'm looking forward to living close to the mountains; I lived in the desert, the jungle and the flatlands, so this will be a change. You'll know me by my license plate; it's the same as my handle.

drop me an e-m when you hit town. if you are going to be in the "frogmont" area you will be about 1/2hr from me.
belong to an outdoor range (private) and unless it is real windy i try to shoot whenever i can.
btw
which part of longmont will you be moving to?
oh yeah gun stores
jensen's in loveland 1-970-663-5994
hamblens in ft, collins 1-970-221-5133
paladins in longmont, nice collection of guns but (imho) WAY OVER PRICED

Ditto on drop a line when you hit the area.

JimC? Are you with High Plains? Nice range.

Far as I'm aware, other than Boulder Rifle Club, there's no other close ranges & HP's a ways out there. Quite a bit of private land though if you get friendly with the owner/s.

Thanks for the input. I'm looking forward to the move. I plan to be up there around the first of Dec, and on the slopes the 2nd! You'll be hearing from me.

Same goes for me. I'm more familiar with the south end of the front range though.

The firing line in Aurora, Foothills Shooting Center in Lakewood and Cherry Creek State Park shooting center which is outdoors.

Some other good places east of Denver though they are clubs requiring membership. Numerous great gun stores from Ft. Collins to Colorado Springs. Green Mtn Guns gets most of my money. Lots of good gun shows up by Longmont area.

Hopefully we get some early snow for skiing.

Hmmmmmm... Add me to your list of people to drop a line to when you get settled in. I've got a farm approximately 16 miles East of town and have an informal shooting range set up. (As long as it's not too cold or windy I and a few friends can usually be found shooting on the weekends and on weekdays I try and get in at least a couple hours of shooting between the `chores' whenever possible. {GRIN!})
