Moving thru CA, what are laws.....

Moving from AZ to Pacific north west, i will go thru CA due to time of year weather considerations.
Is it legal to transport thru the state.
If ammo is in trailer and arms are in trunk is this ok?
Any weird traffic laws about towing a trailer? (would prefer not to get pulled over)
anything you can share would help, i have a feeling i should go a different way but i dont want to wait till spring!

Guns have to be unloaded, that means no bullets in the magazines. Also not in the vehicle, they must be in a locked container, although the trailer should qualify. You really should not have any problems, Kalifornia isn't that bad.

By the Way, are you bringing any weapons that could be considered assault weapons and banned in Kalifornia. I am not sure what the MO is then
 
CA's maximum speed limit for trailers is 55 MPH. Just keep guns locked and unloaded. A soft case with a mini lock is fine.

What's the title of the fed reg regarding interstate transportation. Is it called the Gunowners Protection Act, or something like that? Basically it says if you are legal in your home state and travel directly to another state where you are legal as well, you have no problems with the "inbetween" states. I'm sure someone can elaborate on this more than I.

To avoid Kalifornia, I would reccommend going by way of North Dakota if need be! P.S. I live in So. Kal.

Yep, put that "cruise control" on 54 mph and relax. What time of the year are you travelling that you're worried about the weather?? J.B.
 
Avoid this G**-DAMN state at all cost. The children will be safer...at least that's what the TV tells me.

I have to be in San Diego in the middle of Oct. for USMC graduation. I ain't goin' out there without my Glock. Any good jails out there. Can I pick the jail I go to or take what is given? If I tell'em, it's the cowboy way, will they understand?
