Movie Pistol

I watched the movie "Ice Breaker" recently. In the movie, terrorists take over a ski lodge while they prepare to use a stolen nuke to blow up the mountain. I'm trying to identify the handgun the main BG uses to blow away a member of the ski patrol. Can anyone shed any light on that particular weapon. An evil doer who doesn't user a Desert Eagle. Might start a trend. :D

Thanks in advance...

Yeah, what the hell IS this cinematic turd anyway? Terrorists taking over a ski lodge?

Was the video store all out of other movies? Did you notice this lonesome baby by itself?:D

Sorry to say boys and girls I actually OWN this movie! only because Bruce Campbell(Ash from Evil Dead series) is the bad guy.:D Horrible, horrible movie! The gun in question is a Sig 220ST.:D Btw, it was only 5 bucks, so I don't feel too bad for buying it.

Musta been written when Clinton took to the slopes in Park City, Utah, back in '98.

Wait a minute. Hillary and Chelsea took to the slopes. Bill stayed indoors. Prob'ly wanted to cosey up to some love-sick ski bunny. :D

Ok, if it has Bruce Campbell, I'll watch it!

But, the question is, why the hell do the terrorists want to blow up a mountain? They think blowing up a couple bunny trails is going to make some deep political statement?

The only thing it will do is cause longer lines and higher prices at the ski resorts out of fall-out range. :)

I've always wondered what would happen if Bruce Campbell was put into a serious role in a movie with a budget? :)

Haven't seen the movie or even heard of it.

Bruce Campbell has the dry-witted, semi-serious acting roles pretty well wrapped up. I don't think I'd like to see him in a serious role. Not only would I think it unbelievable, but he'd be out of his element. His role as Ash is the perfect characterization for him. If you've ever seen Brisco Co. Jr., you know what I'm talking about.

BTW, did they ever finish that show? I remember seeing the episode with the atom bomb and recalling that episode to be close to the show's finale. Any info?

Thanks

Thanks ModifiedBrowning...

I caught the movie on cable (okay, it was late :D). I thought Bruce Campbell looked familiar, but I never connected him with Brisco County Jr. I did enjoy that show. Don't think it lasted more than a season though. Wasn't that followed by him in some kind of swashbuckling 17th century spy role?

But back to the topic, I'm still a newbie so I do appreciate the info about the pistol.

"Ice Breaker" is such a bad movie.....think I lost several brain cells sitting through it.

Somebody asked for it so here it is, the Official Back of the Box Description! Ta da!

"Ski patrol officer Matt Foster(Sean Astin) is about ot have a very bad day. A plane carrying stolen plutonium has crashed into his mountain, terrorists have taken over the ski resort, and he still has to meet his fiance's father.

A group of terrorists have come to Killington mountain to retrieve the plutonium. With the F.B.I. hot on their trail, they take guets at the ski iresort hostage. Foster is the only one on the mountain who can turn the tables, and with his fiance as one of the hostages, he can't afford any mistakes.

Bruce Campbell(Congo) and Stacy Keach(American History X) also star in this explosive standoff on an icy time-bomb."

Just goes to show that even with good actors like Bruce Campbell, and cool guns (Sig 220st, MP5s), and snowboarding you can still make one POS movie very easily.

Like I said I only bought because Bruce was on the cover of the box holding a Sig.:D Btw Bruce has a shaved head in this movie, interesting look.

Good point, Blades. It was made in 99. Upon futher inspection the Sig does not have the ST accessory rail, it is a Nickel 220.

SigP6, Glad to see you've joined the party. Let me know about that Armalite. Btw, just found out that Perfect Tommy in Buckaroo Banzai has a P7.

I think Bruce Campbell had some short-lived series called "Jack of All Trades" and a recurring role in the Zena/Hercules shows as a king or a thief or something.
