Mounting a sling on a factory synth. 10/22 stock?

My stainless/synthetic 10/22 is currently slingless,a condition I`d like to rectify. The forend appears to be solid so a screw in swivel should work fine. However the buttstock I think may be hollow and I have my doubts as to if a normal screw in swivel will hold up under extended use without getting loose or rocking. Anybody here done one? What do you guys think, different type of mount maybe? Marcus

Marcus, the standard wood screw threads for the buttstock swivels work just fine in the hollow synthetic stocks. Even though they're hollow there is still enough "meat" for the screw to engage. George

Thanks. The reason I asked is that I read a similar thread here dealing with a Remington synthetic rifle stock, and it was suggested to use epoxy/Acragel to "fill" the hollow somewhat around the sling stud.
