I have a Springfield 1903A3 (Smith-Corona). The rifle was made in 1943, then after WWII was sold to the NRA, who refurbished the rifle. My Grandfather bought the rifle from the NRA in 1954 and after sitting in a closet untouched in packing grease for 55 years was given to me. I take extremely good care of this rifle. I enjoy shooting the rifle very much and have used it deer hunting with success.
What I am wondering now is, is there a way to mount a scope to this rifle with out making any alterations? I do not way to butcher and de-value this piece of history.
If so, what combination of scope and scope mount should I use?
