Motorcycles n' Guns....same circles?

Good Evening Everyone-

Need to get some advice on my other passion in life (besides firearms...), so does anyone have a suggestion for an informative online forum for motorcycle enthusiasts?

TFL is a brainy bunch, so I'm hoping to find a similar, cerebral group to trade info about motorcycles and motorcycle accessories. Any and all help is sincerely appreciated.

Regards,

http://www.motorcycle.com/ Here is one I found and found others but I will have to e-mail you the link because its not giving me a URL to type in, I hope this is of help to you. Good Luck :) I can't e-mail them either because I don't have a e-mail address e-mail me and I will send them to you.

Well, it depends on what type of bike you are talking about. I agree that http://www.motorcycle.com is a good site for sport bike and cruisers. If you are looking more specifically at say the Honda Goldwing you can go to the Gold Wing Road Riders Association's (GWRRA) web site http://www.gwrra.org and they have a BBS linked from their main site.
If you are looking for general motorcycle discussion you might want to look on USENET at the newsgroup rec.motorcycles. If you don't have USENET access you can get webbased access at http://www.deja.com or http://www.mailandnews.com .

What type of bike do you ride? I have a red '99 Honda Gold Wing GL1500SE.

Blue Jays,

Good to see another rider here. Try looking at http://forumsb.compuserve.com/gvforums/default.asp?srv=motorcycle for a good source of motorcyle related chat and a great group of folks. This is the Motorcyle Forum on Compuserve (I used to sysop there) and you can read all the posts for free off the web site. If you want to get in on the discussions you can do that for free also by downloading and registering a free copy of Compuserve Instant Messanger. (Trick with this is, you don't actually have to use the CSIM software.....just register it. this gets you a password just like a normal Compuserve member) :)

You might also want to consider posting your question here in general discussion. Several of us here ride bikes and might be able to help.

Hardly-a-Davidson ;)

After I paid for my custom 1911's I couldn't afford a Harley - So I fixed up a '99 Shadow Spirit. The backplate on the sissy bar says "The Piglet" (well, it ain't a HOG)! :D I ride to the pistol matches as often as I can!

Nice snowjob!

Some of you might want to check out the Southern Cruisers Riding Club forum at www.forums.delphi.com A little cliquish at times, but lots of good info.

In years past, I noticed that a lot of cycle riders were also gun owners. With the influx of HD Rolex Riders, though, I'm seeing some antis in the bunch :(

Maybe some of the motorcycle gatherings should have an event where you ride and shoot at the same time.

Here is a forum I found while doing a search.
www.directparts.com/cgi-bin/Ultimate.cgi?action=intro

I have a post in the Tech section, about my Sportster Transmission. I have yet to receive a reply. Oh well. I pulled it apart and awaiting parts. I hope to have them today.

And yes, I've been a tattoo'ed, bearded Biker long before it became "cool". A seven year Vet and a lifelong biker, show me something I haven't seen.

Also check-out www.about.com and click on the automotive link. You will find motorcycle info and a forum there.

Take a Motorcycle Safety Foundation Course and watch those left-turner's.

anodes, That would be "snow shovel" right? Got to get my head s on straight.

I don't ride Harley, but love em the same. If you were at Daytona this year you may have witnessed our canary yellow sportster from OK chew the fat in the 1/4. I'm just a sportbike riding, pit monkey wrenching harlot.

Ride on, be safe, be free. :)

G freeman, Snow shovel. :D Why hadn't I thought of that in the 6 3/4 months since the pic?
Not even my co-worker Linda w/her '54 Panhead and leather holster bolted on w/chrome nuts thought of it!

Hi Everyone-

Who is cooler than you guys? Such quick and enthusiastic responses!

Thanks for all the great feedback on the motorcycle forums!

I'll be registering and posing an Arai RX-7 RR4 vs. Shoei XPS-II helmet query to my two-wheeled sisters and brothers.

Thanks again,
