This makes me want to get a Class III lisence more than full auto does.

You don't need a class 3 for this gun. Just fill out the ATF forms and register it as a short-barreled shotgun.

what if you could get those little mini aquila 2" buckshot & slugs to work thru it - lettle less recoil & possibly what - 4+1 capacity? (wrong - see note below)

$5.00 transfer fee...... hmmmm

ps - sorry - i missed your HK grenade launcher (part 2) thread.... I guess this could be called part three?

Hindsight - concerning the 2" shotshells - I was thinking more bout that - you dont really gain too much by shaving off 3/4 of an inch on each of the two shells in the magazine (1.5 inches total) you wouldnt be able to get a third shell in (not even one of the small 2 inchers).... no matter how short they look, they are not that much shorter than the 2.75" to make that much of a difference.... now if you have an 8 shot riot gun loaded with 2.75 inchers, by my math you can turn it into a 11 shot 2 incher.

That Serbu gun seems like an awefull big piece to lug around to get only three shots.

Notice the folding pistol grip under the magazine. This would be a handful, but I don't think a helmet would be required if you used both hands.

'Bout as useful as a parachute on a submarine.

Anyone care to venture a guess as to why that thing has a front sight?

You might be right, but I think I would still wear one (I don't have the size to handle shotgun recoil well despite all the training I've had).

I carried a 4 shot pump similar to this one -- but with just a shortened wooden forearm when I traveled the Florida swamps all day and night on foot as part of my business of finding cheap land.

It was not that bad to shoot and with practice I was able to aim it pretty well two handed.

Most of all, in country where gators, snakes, wild hogs, wild Brahma bulls, wild Long Horns, Cougars, Bears, armed bad guys, etc. roam... and I was often 10 or more miles from any road... it was a nice feeling to have it sitting over my right shoulder in a soft plastic tube which was attached to my pack frame. It made for a pretty fast draw and more peace of mind than other stuff I carried.

No, actually this is Most un-PC gun part 2 (part 2). :D It doesn't really matter, I was just pointing out that there already was part 2. :)

Read about this gun here. $725 is a bit much, IMO. Anyone want to shoot 3" magnum shells through this thing?

you know I am wondering if a longer barreled version (say a 14") would make more sense.

then I am thinking if the non aow version that I already have is the best choice - more mag cap, cheaper

are you really going to be able to conceal this thing?

Boy, that makes my Government Model handcannon look sorta tame in comparison!
