Well, if you have deep pockets for carrying it you can do better by getting a black bear 678 lumens (made in the Maglite 2 D 10 inches long) or with a MAG 951 II, that put out 951 lumens and is made in the "host" of a Maglite 3 D 12 1/2 inches long.
This MAG 951 and the black bear 678 are considered the most powerful flashlights in the world (some HID
Search Lights put out more lumens, the Beast at $2900 and the Lumaray at $7,000, but they take a few seconds to start up and are not considered flashlights or tactical)
Beamshot coming from 43 yards, camera at 15 yards
Surefire M-6 (500 lumens)
MAG 951 (951 lumens RECHARGEABLE)
The thing with the Surefire M-6 is that it will go thru six 123's batteries every 20 minutes, for a cost of $9.98 every 20 minutes.
The MAG 951 II is rechargeable and will run for 40 to 45 minutes on the charge for FREE.
The battery pack of the MAG 951 will last for 500 hours before a $30.00 new pack is needed.
The Surefire M-6 will cost $14,940 in batteries before it will run 500 hours.
Of course I am biased on these lights because I make them, but the numbers are there for people to check.
Also I think that is important with people that have kids and mortgage that the MAG 951 II cost half of what a Surefire M-6 cost.
Best regards
