Most accurate out of the box gun

I have a little extra cash around and want to add another rifle, looking for something to shoot 400-500 yards but no further, not looking for a custom gun either. I already know what scope im planning on getting but what gun would you guys get thats less than 1000. Ive looked at a ton from tacticals to good hunting rifles, and im not sure on caliber either. I want something fun to shoot all day. I was thinking .243, 6.5, .257, or even something down to like 22-250 or 220 swift but I know 400-500 yards is a push for them plus the light bullet will hurt accuracy.

I got a savage 10 predator hunter 1-max for $800. 6.5mm creedmoor. Sub moa out of the box with factory ammo. But if you don't reload I'd get something in 30-06, 7 mag, .308, .270, .243....whatever your local walmart carries for ammo.

Handi-Rifle in .243 Win. I have one with a Burris FFII scope and its a sub-moa rifle with Remington Cor-Lokt ammo. Doesnt kick hardly at all and will easily shoot out to 5-600yrds. The scope cost more than the rifle. :) Single shot may not be your thing but I dont mind it, it saves me money since I cant rapid fire or dump a magazine.

My savage 22-250 model 12 has a bushnell banner 4-16x40 with dnz mount.

Nickel sized groups at 100 and 200 yards. i haven't shot it further.

What would I pick?

Right out of the box you say.?

If I had to pick a shooter Id go Savage, it's probably the best all around American made rifle at this point. Every Savage rifle in this house IS a shooter, and there is three, a model 111 in 3006, a 110 in .270 win, and a 116 in .270 win, and they flat out will shoot less than moa.;)

I am running a savage axis in 22-250. fun little gun sub moa out of the box with cheap winchester white box ammo. for a $340 gun cant argue with that.

I would suggest a Weatherby Vanguard. Mine in 30-06 was $400 and shoots sub MOA with just about any ammo I use. I got a hunting buddy who owns one and has had the same accuracy results.
At that price you can afford good optics also.

The vanguard uses a Howa 1500 action i do believe.

My Howa 7mm mag is very accurate.

Remington has a good reputation for accuracy right out of the box. My son just got a Remington 700 in 7mm Remington Mag. Now I don't think you'll want to shoot that cartridge all day but the rifle is shooting sub MOA right out of the box. I've owned two 700's and both were very accurate. Last winter I picked up a Weatherby Vanguard Series 2 in 243 Winchester and it also shoots sub MOA with no modifications. For all day shooting the 243 is a good choice and 500 yards is well within it reach.

Got to add my two cents worth on this one---I've got the vanguard in .300WSM and when I picked it up, the owner and other customers at my LGS said the test target was almost unbelievable, a small three leaf clover just a hair off dead center--out at the range on the hundred, I've had guys with spotting scopes come over and ask what in the world I'm shooting---you want accuracy out to 500, this is the gun and caliber you're looking for--and the best part of all, it's not hard to shoot well, similar recoil to the 06, very comfortable stock with cheekpiece and good recoil pad---mine is walnut stocked, but I would think the synthetics would be as accurate---just over$600 for the rifle and I have a Nikon 3x9 on it---This one is my ultimate big bore--------John
