Mossy shotgun problem

Mr. Stringer and all,

Was shooting some clays today and my action locked up. The ejector screw somehow worked itself out and the ejector has locked up the whole enchilada. The ejector has moved backwards and up from its intended slot.

This bolt is jammed up tight and I can't move it. I will probably have to take it to the gunsmith, but thought maybe you guys had some thoughts on how I could get it out myself.

The bolt has locked back about a quarter of the way. I can reach the ejector with needlenose pliers, but it won't budge.

Any ideas???:(

Thanks

BTW,

It is 500A 12 ga.

I also have 1 or 2 shells in the magazine. Any way to get them out?

Thanks again,

Stinger

Stinger, I wouldn't want to try to advise you on this without seeing it. I think your best bet is to take it to your local smith. To remove the shells you might be able to reach inside the receiver and push the shell stops out of the way. If not just be sure to tell the smith that the shells are in the mag tube. George

The ejector and screw had somehow worked themselves out and gotten jammed in the back/side of the receiver. It was jammed up rather nicely but I was finally able to work it free with a firm "bump" on the floor.

I was able to get the internals apart, cleaned, and now have everything back together again. I am going to order another ejector and screw just to be on the safe side, but everything works just fine.

Should I be concerned that this could happen again? I tightened the screw firmly, but should I maybe use some Loctite (the removable kind)?

Thanks,

Stinger
