Just bought a Tac-Star sidesaddle, and the darn screw inside the reciever is so tight the thing just strips when I try to take it out. any ideas? This is the factory mossberg screw, I am using the correct size screwdriver, but it will not budge. I am stripping it out rather fast though, so in order to save this damn shotgun reply fast!I am frustrated as heck

2 tips:

1) Use your lighter and heat the screw slightly. This should help loosen it.

2) Or, use Break Free on the threads. Let it soak awhile and try turning it.

And remember: Rigty tighty, lefty loosey.

I had no trouble getting the screw out. I removed it before ever firing the gun, but after I cleaned it up, so it's possible that the Break Free I was using to lube the inner receiver helped loosen it somewhat.

Took it to the smith. he had to put it on a drill press, it was in there pretty good. He hadnt seen one like it before. Side saddle looks good, and thanks for all your replies. Opie
