When I say Mossbergish I mean a problem not related to the gun itself but the crap I got with it when I bought it used.
It came with an aftermarket heat shield, that I never liked from day one. It slid around a bit when fired and never was of any use (Two boxes of target and a few slugd didnt even warm up the barrel).
So anyway, I take the barrel off to clean it, and the heat shield slips down so far that I can not seat it in the reciever, one of the screws that held it on broke off, and the other screw is held in place with some sort of locking tab, even when I have the hex wrench to unscrew it.
What do I do? Do I cut the screw with a dremel and remove the shield? do I take it into my gunsmith that sold it to me? Please assisst.
EDIT: I took it into the shop, it was a quick fix, just a clamping and unscrewing. They even used a touch up pen to touch up the scratched blueing it left. PROBLEM SOLVED
