Mossberg Instant Access 7700 Safe

Anyone have a solution in opening a stubborn safe? I contacted Mossberg and it seems as though the safe div went out of business 3 years ago.. I tried the factory default code, but it doesn't work...... maybe its ready for the dumpster...... sadly it was 260.00 new........:o Thanks
 
Is that one of the units that uses an imported electronic lock?

You could probably take it to a local locksmith and have it opened for $100 or so. If there's a problem with the lock you may be wasting your money though.
 
I have upgraded to a better safe since time has gone by, but I was hoping for a small miracle...... One good thing is that it is empty....
