Got an older 500A that I'm trying to replace the wood forend with a synthetic Mossberg replacement.
This thing will not go on. Tried lubing it, even tried muscling it on.
It appears that the inside diameter of the new forend is smaller than the forend tube on the gun. I also notice that the slots in the forend for the action bars are a little smaller than the bars on the gun.
What gives? Do I need a new part to match up with the forend?
