I just heard Mossberg has added the .243 and .308 to their ATR 100 Bolt Action line.

They're also bringing out a new semi-auto and bolt-action 22lr.

I've got the ATR-100 in .270 and .30-06 and both shoot 1 1/2" and better at 100 yards, so these are definitely geat little rifles.

Just FYI

Beagle-------if you handload for those ATRs, you will find some loadings that will do better than factory ammo. I load for the .270 and it is a dream to shoot..A good day can put it around .75 with 5 shoots....

Yeah, gunpowder and close tolerances aren't a real strong suit for me. I guess I have the "ADD".

But, I did buy a bulk of milsurp 30-06 from Sportsmanguide, and even with this stuff the little ATR still manages under 2 inches.

I've seen where people have been hoping they'd come out with the the short action calibres. If they're as good as the one's I have, I doubt anyone will be disappointed.

I'm just glad Mossberg has re-entered the rifle market. Just another long time American producer with top notch products.
