mossberg atr 100 270

hi guys im new to the forum. I got a 270 that likes federal ammo sorta, i was wondering what your atr liked. I might try remmington, but wanted to see what yours like to kinda go in the direction of trying diffrent ammo. Thanks all again

I have a Mossberg 100 ATR in .270, also. I' went through about 5 or 6 different brands and sized of bullets before I found the right combo that worked for me.

I found that the 130 gr Federal Premium Vital-Shok Nosler Ballistic Tip worked the best. The rifle will consistantly shoot 1 inch to sub-1 inch groups @ 100 yards. The worst groups that I had were the Remington Core-Lokt 150 gr from Wal-Mart and they weren't even that bad, in the 1.75" - 2" range. These were all shot prone using a bipod, not from a bench.

The Mossbergs are great rifles, I'm waiting for the new 4x4 to come out so that I can add another one.

I had a 100 ATR in 308 it liked the 150 grain winchester power points

I have an ATR in .270 and we like the federals.

Me and my rifles like anything federal.

I had two duds in a row with winchester supreme balllistic tips. :barf: never again...
