Mossberg 930 security

Looking at buying a basic Mossberg 930 Security 8 shot.

I've seen the YouTube videos of the breakdowns and malfunctions of "new-out of the box" guns, and others that swear by them.

My questions are..........

How are the working for people who own them?

Can you shoot low-brass field loads?

Do you trust them with YOUR life?

I have Mossberg 500s, 590s, 835s and Remington 870s and 1100s........but want something different.

Thoughts?????

We've got the security/field combo and it has been flawless from the get-go. I say 'we' because I bought this for myself and shortened the stock 3/4" so my wife could shoot it- and she shot it so well I just gave it to her. It's probably got another 700-800 rounds of field loads through it since I wrote this review.

I have a 930 SPX. Bought it several years ago. It sat around in the box it came in for two years before I got around to shooting it. I finally took it to the range, took it out of the box, checked the barrel for obstructions, didn't even lube it(I know, not proper protocol), and started shooting it. It never missed a beat, and hasn't to this day. I shot light loads and 3" magnums through it with no problems.

My $1500 Benelli M4 wouldn't cycle light loads, but the 930 had no problem.
