My brother is looking for a shotgun to take quail hunting with us and this is what he is looking at, can you fine folks give me an evaluation of this gun

Mossberg 9200 with a 24" Barrell and a Camo Synthetic Stock

Would this be a good buy for $270.00

Can you compare to a Remington 1100 that is what I use and I love it

I have 2 and love them. Mine have been totally reliable but will need the gas system cleaned every 200-250 round in cold weather to cycle properly.
If you are looking at a 24inch barrel it is probably sold as a turkey guns with an extra full choke so figure 20 bucks for a different choke.
Price is a little high unless it is new in box.
This a discontinued gun with little parts or aftermarket support
