What can anyone tell me about this gun? Good, bad, anything? hpg

It is a mainstream well-respected shotgun. It along with the Remington 870 are often selected HD shotgun.

My son has been issued one of these for his Duty Shotgun and I was just wanting some info on it. I've always been an 870 man..........hpg

The military calls it the M500.

It's a wonderful shotgun, parkerized, 8+1 shot, tang safety (lefty-friendly), and has ghost ring sights and a bayonet lug. It's fantastic for military use. Ours are holding up VERY well, and are slightly lighter than the equivalent 870.
For the money, you won't find a better one.
