Mossberg 590A1 Trigger Question

i own a mossy 500 and a 590A1, after disassembling both trigger groups i discovered that the 500 has a single trigger main spring (part 35) and the 590A1 has a double trigger main spring. it has the same trigger spring like the 500 plus a smaller (smaller in diameter) one inside the bigger (normal) one.

is this quite normal? why has the 590A1 2 trigger main springs? to enhance the striking force of the hammer?

if i have a closer look at the manual there is only one main trigger spring.
has anyone a good detailed exploded drawing of the mossy 500 and the 590A1?

in the net i only find graphics with low resolution.
thanks

Probably the same thing as requiring double throttle return springs on race cars to pass tech...

Redundant... These are "high performance" guns intended for extreme duty...

That is my guess...

so probably you can leave out the smaller spring, so reduce the trigger weight of pull and have still enough striker force for competition?

'cause the 500series has only the larger spring and works quite well

as a HD or duty gun you are absolutely right, but for competition use i prefer a ligther trigger pull.

that's why i don't wanna cut the length etc. cause i want the possibility to re-built the factory status if the hammer strike is not tough enough after removing the smaller spring
