Mossberg 590A1 foregrip and stock

I recently picked up a mossberg 590A1 with a Speed Feed stock, and for the most part I am very pleased with the quality of the shotgun but the forearm leaves something to be desired. I have also noticed the LOP on the stock is a bit much for me, causing discomfort when shooting. I found a Houge overmolded forearm and stock set for a Mossberg model 500, along with the stock being a 12 inch LOP both the stock and forearm look to be of a much better quality. I was wondering if that stock set would fit my Mossberg 590A1.

I don't see why it wouldn't. I was thinking about a Hogue fore end as well for mine. Yeah, that speedfeed is a little on the long side, but I'll survive.

If you want an even shorter LOP, i think I saw a "compact" model stock for a 500 in the Mossberg gun rag the other week. Looks like you could get it from the factory if you wanted.

I just wasn't sure if there was a major difference between the Mossberg 500 and the Mossberg 590 shotguns to the point where basic parts from a 500 wouldn't fit my 590A1. Prolly going to order just the Houge overmolded forend and see how that does. Thanks for the input.
