Mossberg 590 shockwave safety problem

Go to a store and see how your safety compares to another new Mossberg 500/590 series.
Perhaps what you're feeling is normal as only you can feel what you're feeling.

If you believe the Shockwave needs to go back for service, here's Mossberg's website to help accomplish the return:
https://www.mossberg.com/service/request/index

Your local gun store may or may not help, but consider asking the store for return shipping support.

It may merely need to be disassembled and reassembled, but I can't recommend anybody doing it themselves unless they're mechanically-inclined and have or are willing to get various tools. Also, some parts may need replacing, which can be hard-to-get at this time. See Brownell's website to get an idea of cost and "lack" of availability:

Besides the risk of losing some small parts, the safety switch's screw is a "security" type screw designed to screw in one way, but difficult to unscrew, sometimes resulting in destroying the screw on disassembly.
Let us know how it goes.

I usually switch out the plastic safety to metal ones on my mossberg which is simple enough to do. I do recommend getting a replacement bolt(thats not a security one, perferably a hex head, 6-32x5/16). Just youtube a video to see how to open it up to check the internals, and replace the bolt holding it while you're at it.

I got it to work right I disassembled the gun and reassembled and it works fine now not really sure why but I’m not gonna ponder it anymore and roll with it.
