Mossberg 590 Marinecote

I recently purchased a Mossberg Marinecote 590
8-shot 20". The first trip to the range, I was pleased with
the accuracy with slugs and pattern with Federal Tactical
buck loads. I noticed however that when the gun heated up
after several quick shots (10-15?), the action seemed like
it was getting stiffer to operate. Are these guns heat
sensitive or what? I've not seen this in an 870 before.
Suggestions??

I'm no Mossy expert, but remember that the piece is new, and it may need a little breaking in for best performance. Lube up the action bar(s) and maybe a little on the mag tube and go through a few boxes of light loads. My guess is it'll be cycling smoother and slicker, tho of course not nearly as well as an 870(G)!

If the problem persists, time for warranty work...

Make sure the action is properly lubricated. My M590 came totally dry, and almost siezed up completely before I discovered the lack of oil.
