Mossberg 500...

...for $220.00; is this a good price? It's a synthetic, 12 gauge. I didn't have time to ask the gun shop denizens any questions, but it appears to be in fine shape. I'm new to the world of shotguns and thought it would be fun to have, possibly also to be used for home defense.

this is a used gun? Then it's a way overpriced, unless it comes with a bunch of extras.

I bought my Mossy 500 Persauder for $165 at Auction Arms. That's a good price but if you look around you certainly should be able to pick one up for under $200.

...for the info. I'll have to check with my local gun stores and see if they will "bring home" a gun for me, but I will definitely check out some of these online auctions. I figured if the used price is $220.00, then they must go for around $300.00 new. I had no idea...

The Wal-Mart here has the wod stocked ones for about $250 if that helps your calculations.
