Ok, I bought a mossberg 500 and I was dissasembling it and I got as far as taking off the barrel and taking out the trigger assembly pin but I couldnt get the trigger assembly to come out, any advice on what to do?

yea I was going along with that video, how do I check if the stock is over torqued? also the safety is hard to put on safe

Loosen bolt a tick... if that frees up the TG, remove the bolt and add a washer to space it.

The bolt is accessed by removing butt plate on rear stock... should be a half inch head, may or may not have large screw driver slot.

I should clarify... the tapped hole in the receiver goes all the way thru.
Iff too long a bolt or over torqued the threaded end can protrude too far thus interfering with the trigger group.

hey hotdogs I took the rubber butt pad off the gun and tried to loosen the screw for the stock but It wouldnt budge and I dont want to force it for fear of breaking it

Sounds too tight right there... Using a socket I would go ahead and put pressure in reverse (loosen) direction... tap, smack or even beat on ratchet handle to try to free it if it is loctited. If that don't work I (just me) would not mind snapping the bolt as I could then clamp the shaft with vise grips if it were bound still (if just too tight it may just spin right out once head is broke off) and tap VG's in hopes of it freed up. Mossberg has sent me stock bolts at no charge. I am guessing that was due to my praise of their product and cordial attitude:o
KEEP IN MIND THERE IS RISK THAT THE HOLE COULD STRIP... Helicoil would fix it though...

now that I think about it im not so sure its the stock screw, whenever I take out the pin and try to lift out the trigger guard the back lifts up about 1/4" but it wont come out any farther than that and yes it is cocked
