Mossberg 500 Road Block

I like Odd Ball guns. Having a couple 50BMG rifles I just liked how the Mossberg 500 Road Block look so I have it coming. Have a folding stock on the way too. (This is just a toy for me as I have other shotguns.)
Only a mother could love the looks of this baby.

What ya think?

In this day and time, we could all use a good laugh and the road blocker (as well as the chainsaw and rolling blunder) are some good examples.

To me it doesn't say 'serious shotgun, serious shotgunner' but if you didn't buy it for that, what difference does it make?

Dude, for the conversation peace it will be with friends and at the range alone, it is worth it. BTW, I presume you can replace the barrel with any other 500.

Have fun. COllectors item. Worst case, you still have a gun that goes boom.

Some like custom street rods, some like'em restored to their original vintage....
Some build custom motorcycles, some like'em factory...
Some like custom/oddball guns, some.....you get my point.

If it makes you happy it tickles me to pieces.

We work hard for our money, so if this is your reward then good for you. I kinda makes me think of the football slang of "fasten you chin strap."

The gadget on the end of the barrell reminds me of the side pipes on an old vette or the newer Dodge Viper. Mossberg must of hired some unemployed auto design engineer.

I do have a former State Trooper Mossberg 500, and I like the way it handles and shoots. Of course it will require a few amputations and crutches to match its kin in your new gun. :)

So Mossberg made more 14 inch barrels than they could sell. Then they plagiarized the Barret light fifty muzzle brake...

I would never buy one of those things. If you like it, more power to ya.

Is it like a harpoon or something?

When a fleeing felon is approaching a road block do you throw it at the windsheild of his car like a javelin? I think that thing on the end would definately break a windsheild, and probably someone's skull...

Does a captive bolt gun qualify as an oddball firearm?

Frankly, first impression is that it looks like the shotgun the wimpy kid in high school would grow up and buy...you know, hoping it would make him look bad ass. LOL. But hey, if it's what you want, more power to you.

This is just a toy for me

Exactly.
It will be interesting to discover what the reaction to that muzzle break is from people to either side of you when you shoot the thing.
Not the MB but the pistol grip.....the most difficult of all shotgun type to shoot at all accurately. Get a stock for it,,,,,that chunk of steel at the end doesn't help balance..

Again I got it cause "I" like odd ball firearms. Reminded me of a 50BMG. I have a couple of them. Now that is back blast.
I already have a collapsable stock on order. Fun to doll up guns.
