M Maser New member Oct 3, 2006 #4 I have no idea because my Mossberg 500 uses Accu-chokes. If you are going to try it I say use an open choke or improved cylinder. Nothing smaller.

E ERF Inactive Oct 4, 2006 #5 Barrel size is 28". I just got a hold of Mossbeg and they do not recommend the use of steel shot with the C-lect choke. Time for a new barrel. Thanks for the replies. -ERF
