Mossberg 500 not wanting to pump

I got a Mossberg 500 a couple weeks ago and today I finally got a chance to break it in today. After about 75 rounds it won't pump any more. I pulled the trigger to shoot the round in the chamber and then it wouldn't pump. It's like the pump froze up. And I was using those Winchester target rounds.

Check to see if the action block lever, the button at the rear of the trigger guard, is functioning.
Pushing it up should release the action and gun should pump.
Also check the safety button on the top of the receiver to see if it works.
If it's broken, it could be jamming that same action block lever.
It's possible that it's only a stuck case in the chamber.
Give it a robust pump, maybe, to eject.
Is the round in the barrel chamber live or not?
Are there live rounds still in the mag tube?

And I was using those Winchester target rounds.
Do you mean good target rounds, or the cheap bulk stuff? I've had my 500 slide get stuck once or twice and my brother's 870 slide got stuck a time or two. Cheap Winchester shells were always the culprit. The brass must not be consistently sized, and they can get stuck too tightly in the chamber sometimes.

The cheap Federal or Remington load never caused that problem.

Is there possibly a piece of fired shotshell stuck in there. Pull the trigger assembly and check it out, also look for loose/broken parts??

I checked the action block and the saftey, they both work, and I tried pumping it, it didn't work. The round in it isn't live, but there are a couple in the magazine tube that are. And it is the cheap bulk kind. If there's a round stuck in the chamber what would be the best way of getting it out?

EDIT: I got it out, I just had to pull down on the pump with both hands.

There are two shell stops, one on each side of the gun. One holds the shell in place and the other stops the next shell after it when the first shell pops out of the tube and onto the carrier (otherwise you would have two shells trying to get onto the carrier). First shell stop isn't releasing.

get some flitz or jb borebrite and buff the bageebeeze out of the chamber. its a comon preoblem with the newer 500's and 870's

Fixed yet? Happened here once. Be sure it is not a live round. Held the forearm tight and hit the holding hand with the other one, the sticky shell popped loose and all was well.

I've had this happen a few times with my 500. It's a 1996 manufacture. I bought it used. Had it happen on the cheap bulk stuff, not sure what brand, and had to do the butt on ground 2 hand pump as well. Also had it happen to me recently when I put a new stock on it. I was cycling the action to verify unloaded status, and it locked on empty chamber. Have to detail strip it and give it a good cleaning and lube.
