Mossberg 500 "Mariner", Remington 870 Marine Magnum, Winchester 1300 Coastal Marine

I'm looking into getting a second HD gun that is very durable. Just wondering if there's any prefrence for the Mossberg 500® Pump Action "Mariner", the Remington 870 Marine Magnum, or the Winchester 1300 Costal Marine. I'm leaning toward the Winchester because the barrel is nickel plated stainless. Anyone got any input?
 
I went with a mossy, Knoxx Spec ops stock handall grip and houge forend. Ordered the forarm, stock and grip from Knoxx direct... mention being a ember and save a few bucks. They even installed the handall grip on teh stock for me. How did they know I do not like installing them??? I am also putting MMC ghostring rear and trit front on it. Will post pics as soon as smith gets it back to me. Had to have a hole drilled and tapped to fit rear sght. Chose Mossy cause I saw that to use the stock I wanted I would have to fit it. Not to mention I am going to get a sidewinder set up for it soon. No smith required for install on a mossy.

I'd get the Remington.

Made in America, unlike today's Winchesters; and built solid too, unlike Mossbergs, which have a problematic history involving cracked thumb safeties and broken shell extractors, to mention just a couple of things.
 
I do not like the Mossy's "marine" finish. I do like the nickel finish on the Remington and I can tell you that it is plenty durable. I have not seen the Winchester but I'd go with the 870 simply because it is what I know and, as LiveWire mentioned, it is made in the good ol' USofA.

I chose the Winchester Coastal. It hasn't been shot yet. I just got it a week ago. SpecOpps stock already installed. It really has a perfect feel for a small person like me. [5'-6"]

This firearm will be a boat gun.

I've got two mossies and thet are wonderful. In my personal experience, they have been more reliable than the 870......but even then we are only talking about 2 malfunctions in oh......3,000 rounds. My mossie has never let me down and nothing has broken and I am not gentle with it.

Remingtons are solid, Mossbergs are solid, Winchesters are solid. That's why they are the leaders in the pump shotgun market.

I absolutely love mossberg's marinecoat! It's not as flashy as nickel or stainless, but boy is it tough. It just doesn't know how to rust.
 
Winchesters and Brownings are made by one of the world's finest and foremost firearms makers, FN Herstal, in Belgium. They're awesome firearms.

I have shottys by Mossberg, Winchester, and Remington and like them all. Any one of the 870, Mossy, and Winchester will serve you very well. Pick the one that sings to you. I would trust and feel well protected by any of them, but would probably lean toward the Winchester with it's rotary bolt for it's light, silky smooth action. The Mossberg feels a little clunky to me, so it would be my third choice, but it's a totally dependable shotgun.
 
I'm not a Winchester fan for the simple reason of that feeble thin stamped rail on the inside of the receiver on the left. I've had WAY too many of those break and I got rid of it for a Mossberg. Then I got a Remington, which is also a great shotgun too. Just my humble opinion here. ;)
