Mossberg 183D-A bolt action .410 broke

I am trying to get my father's Mossberg 183D-A .410 bolt action shot gun working. It seems it will shoot a shell, but when I bring the bolt back the shell will not eject it stays held by the bolt clamps.
He told me many years ago that it "something broke off" one day. I assume this is what broke. Do I need an ejector or what do you all think. I see I can buy most any thing on Poppert's web site but I do not know exactly what broke.

This is for sentimental value not really going to use it much.
Thanks for any info:)

Find yourself a schematic of the gun - the bolt specifically - and study it. That will enable you to dismantle the bolt and see what is not there.
I am assuming that the ejector is in the bolt.
Could be that a call to Mossberg will turn up a schematic.
Most bolts are pretty easy to disassemble.
The ejector screw and ejector can be had for about seven or eight dollars. You still have to be able to put it in.

PS - You can buy a downloadable schematic of the 183 from Numrich Arms for 99 cents.
