The "New Haven" brand was started 1977 to offer a "lower priced" version of the Mossberg 500...They only used the New Haven name for a couple of years.
If you want an exact date, contact Mossberg Customer Service, give them the S/N and a couple of weeks, they'll give you the month and year...
