Mosquito MOS-22 B

I have always liked the look and feel of the Mosquito but the many web articles about problems with feed and extraction put me off buying one. But this past weekend I bought one from a local gun shop at a decent price .. took it out yesterday and put 250 Remington Gold hollow points through it with no problems :) I bought it to provide cheaper training than my Glock 21 affords; the heft and feel of the pistol is great and the accuracy is fine. I guess any model can have a number of 'off' guns but this one is working for me (so far).

The problem with Mosquitos seemed to be tight chambering.

I originally found that spritzing some Remoil or WD40 into a ziploc and putting rounds in there, closing the bag and moving them around was enough to get it to work.

Then I bought a chamber ironing tool and opened up the chamber a bit, and now everything feeds fine. I really like mine a lot.

You probably have one that has been broken in and therefore the chamber has been loosened up a bit.

I've had my Mosquito for a little over two years, and I still love the hell out of it. I broke it in with about 500 rounds of CCI mini-mags, with out any failures.
After the break in, I tried several different brands of HV ammo and most worked quite well. The only ones that didn't work were unplated (naked lead)
bullets, they just didn't feed well, but the plated ones were just fine.
The Mosquito has turned out to be one of my favorite hand guns and a real pleasure to shoot.

Ive never had a single issue with my Mosquito. Mine is a newer one, and is accurate, and reliable. It has a heavy Double Action trigger, but with an external hammer, I simply cock it first shot.
